This particular project is a very special one that we are SO excited to share with you all. Not only did we get the opportunity to collaborate with California Closets, but it was for a remodel our Founder, Liz Goldberg’s, very own master closet!
When creating a space for myself, the dream has always been a beautiful, boutique-hotel inspired closet space, that didn’t feel like an average utilitarian closet. California Closets was the perfect partnership to help us achieve this look.
We knew we wanted the overall space to be bright and airy. It was important to be able to somehow differentiate Liz’s side of the closet from her husband’s side of the closet, while still making it look like one space. We selected a nice, bright white for the entire space and then settled on a lighter gray wash for the other side of the closet to give it a masculine finish.
When we stumbled upon this Fabricut by S. Harris Abstraction wallpaper, we knew it was the perfect pop of metallic sheen and texture to pull together the entire space. We loved the graffiti like design and installed wallpaper on the ceiling, one of our favorite ways to add a surprise, don't forget about your 5th wall! Once the install was complete and the wallpaper was up, it was time to have fun with the finishing touches.
Let’s talk about simple ways to make a space come to life - the fun extras that sometimes get overlooked . . . CABINET HARDWARE. We chose a modern, chrome handle finish from Wayfair that paired perfectly with both the white and gray cabinetry. Another one of our favorite pieces in this space is the Felice Accent Stool that we had custom covered using fabric from the Gaston Y Daniela for Kravet Collection.
We not be happier with the outcome of this space. California Closets allowed us to design a dream boutique-hotel inspired space, while still achieving maximum functionality for our family.
